Factiva: "China's tinplate export bookings for the fourth quarter remain healthy, with demand picking up, market sources said.
Offers stand at about $1,050 per tonne f.o.b. this month, little changed from August, with some traders offering lower-quality product for about $900 per tonne.
'Demand traditionally picks up in the fourth quarter, and some big tinplate mills have received good bookings for December,' a Guangzhou steel mill executive said.
Wuhan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. plans to keep prices steady for October, while Baosteel Group Corp. Ltd. prefers a more flexible price policy."
