Rexam to close Dmitrov beverage can plant in Russia

The Canmaker "Russia’s first beverage can plant is being shut down just 11 years after it was opened. Rexam Beverage Can Europe & Asia, which bought the Dmitrov plant near Moscow from Rostar two years ago, says it will stop production at the end of the high season.

The decision follows a collapse in demand for drinks cans in Russia, which was once the fastest-growing region in Europe."
