Brewery's got history canned

The Llanelli brewers, set up by David John, who owned iron and tinplate works in the town during the mid-1830s, have been entered into a new national archive, called A History of the World in 100 Objects, marking key points in Welsh history.

The reason? In 1931 the small brewery at Felinfoel was the first outside the USA to commercially can beer. Prior to this, it was only available in barrels or glass bottles. The cans will now take their place alongside 99 other artefacts submitted by more than 20 museums across Wales."
