Corus returns to steel packaging market

packagingnews.co.uk: "Corus Steel Packaging Recycling (CSPR) is starting to buy scrap packaging again, nine months after the market collapsed.

In November, CSPR stopped buying steel because there was no market for recycled material and said it would not be buying for at least six months.

CSPR manager David Williams told Packaging News the firm was starting to buy steel cans so they can be reprocessed to meet improving demand for new products.

'We've used up all our internal stock. The order book is looking healthier and so we are getting back into the scrap buying market, albeit in a modest way,' he said"
