Woman died from flesh-eating bug after cutting finger on tin

Telegraph: "County Coroner Alan Crickmore recorded a verdict of accidental death saying: ''Denise Bell was reasonable healthy until she cut her finger whilst opening a tin a few days before she died. This was not by any means a serious injury - she did not consider much about it.

''I'm satisfied that the subsequent development of this terrible disease is more likely than not, due to the minor trauma she suffered when she cut her finger.

''It is a terrible disease which takes no account of whether people are clean and fastidious or not - once the trauma occurs the chain of events begins.''"
