Sustainability is high on the agenda at The Canmaker Summit

The Canmaker: "Chief executive of Swiss canmaking equipment specialist Soudronic, Jakob Guyer will be calling for the industry to support moves to ensure that consumers think of cans first as packaging that is eco-friendly.

General manager of Soudronic’s Cantec division Rolf Geide will also detail methods by which the company’s production lines will in future enable canmakers to cut energy consumption, reduce waste and significantly reduce the gauge of the metal used.

German tinplate manufacturer Rasselstein will also be outlining the development of packaging steels in gauges down to 0.10mm."
