Collaboration with Corus a boon to Tinplate shareholders

The Economic Times: "The first pick for the day in the midcap space is Tinplate Company of India as the name suggests they make tinplate and sheets that are used in metal packaging industry. There are 4 reasons why we really love this stock first of they are a beneficiary of Tata Steel buying Corus. Tinplate is getting technology from Corus and they are integrating closely with Corus as far as R&D goes so that’s a benefit straight into Tinplate shareholders.

The second reason is there is a huge capacity expansion that is happening and the benefits of this will come in by earnings of 2011 and the third thing is Tata Steel ownership is going to get to 60% after the conversion of convertible debentures and on top of all of this the PE for this stock is at 6.5%."
